Ocean
Room recently underwent a sweeping refurbishment, and is now a spectacular modern
dining space on Sydney’s iconic harbour.
Led by internationally
acclaimed designer Yasumichi Morita of Japanese design company Glamorous, the
new Ocean Room’s facelift uses streamlined wooden elements and a grand chandelier
motif to create a sophisticated and intimate venue.
Morita has won numerous
awards for many of the 300 world-class restaurants and bars that he has designed
throughout Asia, including all the Joel Robuchon restaurants in Japan. Morita's
design philosophy is simple: "Beautiful things are the root of my imagination",
he says.
As a result, Morita has focused on Ocean Room's stunning harbour
location to transform the space into a visually arresting fine-dining destination. |
